Hanse race again

After a break of several years, HanseYachts are coming back to the regatta route. Hanse will fly the flag during the Baltic Sprint Cup, which takes place over five stages and 630 nautical miles from Copenhagen, Denmark to Pärnu, Estonia (July 20th to August 3rd).

We want to prove to the market and to our customers that our “Easy Sailing Concept”, with its attractive performance cruising designs, is thoroughly capable of sailing to a high standard – and we want to use a standard yacht from Hanse production, built using our well-known epoxy hull design, to do so.

The crew is made up of dedicated amateurs who have extensive experience in long-haul sailing. At each of the five stages a Hanse guest will have the opportunity to sail with the crew.

We have selected the Hanse 430 e construction number 001 to take part in the Baltic Sprint Cup. The yacht is being supplied with additional equipment in order to enable the crew to carry out all necessary manoeuvres. However, the Hanse 430 e will scarcely change in appearance. To suit the wind conditions expected, we have revised the sail plan and made some slight changes to the standard rig with the help of Judel/Vrolijk & Co design office and North Sails. The yacht was made lighter by removing surplus equipment.
