The European Yacht of the Year Awards are widely recognized as the most significant accolades in the sailing industry. For the jury, the journey begins with the nominations, which already represent a major achievement, highlighting the 16 most innovative and exciting sailboats of the year. This year, however, the approach shifted.
Rather than categorizing yachts upfront, the 12-member panel of experts prioritized hands-on experience, testing each vessel on the water before assigning it to a class.
